What is “Made in Norway”?
Made in Norway is Norway's official origin label, is designed to market products and solutions of Norwegian origin. This trademark aims to strengthen the position of Norwegian offerings in both national and international markets, leveraging Norway's positive reputation for responsibility, high quality, and sustainability.
The Made in Norway label is a part of the government's reform, Hele Norge Eksporterer, (All of Norway Exports), managed by Innovation Norway, who ensures the companies compliance to criteria related to origin, responsibility, and sustainability.

Since 2002, Zooca® has been dedicated to utilizing Calanus finmarchicus, the world’s most abundant marine resource, as the foundation of our value chain. With a biomass of 290 million tonnes annually in the Norwegian Sea, this tiny zooplankton offers a remarkable opportunity to sustainably meet the global demand for marine nutrients. The World’s First Specialized Processing Facility
In 2021, we established the world’s first and only facility dedicated to processing Calanus finmarchicus in Sortland, Norway. Here, we produce our Zooca® Calanus Oil, a 100% natural, bioactive oil, rich in over 40 fatty acids, including omega-3, marine policosanols, and the antioxidant astaxanthin for the Human Health market. For the Animal Health market, we produce Zooca® Hydrolysate, Zooca® Powder, and Zooca® Canned, Zooca® SeaFrozen.
